Amy was an avid reader and writer. From an early age she let her imagination take her to faraway lands through the stories she read and wrote. She loved music and enjoyed playing the bass clarinet and piano, as well as singing in school choirs and musicals. Drama was another one of her passions, as shown through her many roles in community and school plays. Amy had decided to study law to become an advocate for children who needed someone to help them. This foundation was created to honor Amy, who died at age 16, by helping children open their doors to the world through literacy.
